Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
The Pupil Premium grant is allocated to primary school age children who are:
-
eligible for free school meals
-
service children
-
looked-after children
-
children adopted from care or who have left care under a special order
What is Pupil Premium?
Schools can spend the PP grant money as they see fit, but there should be a demonstrable improvement in the pupils' attainment as a result of the expenditure.
