Our school day
The school doors open at 08:50. We ask that children are not left at school unattended before this time please. Children in Starfish, Dolphins and Seahorses enter through the gate into Starfish's playground; children in Sharks and Porpoises enter through the bottom gate on the field.
Registration is at 08:55 and lessons start at 09:00. Anyone coming into school after this time needs to enter the school via the front entrance so that their child can be signed in correctly. This is incredibly important to keep them and everyone else safe if there were an emergency.
School finishes at 15:30. The children are brought out by a class teacher or member of school staff and wait with the children until they can see who they are going home with. Children not collected within 10 minutes of the end of school will be put into After School Club for which there will be a small charge.
Please don't forget to tell us if someone different is picking your child up!
Food and drink
We offer hot school meals which can be ordered in advance using the link to the side. Currently, ALL Reception and Key Stage 1 children (Reception, year 1 and year 2), are entitled to free school meals. All meals need to be ordered via Local Food Links. When you join us, Local Food Links will send you a letter with an activation code. Use this on their website (https://my.localfoodlinks.org.uk/login) to order your meals. For those children who bring in a lunchbox, please note that we encourage a healthy, balanced meal and are a nut free school. We would also prefer it if chocolate bars were a biscuit or wafer type and no sweets please.
All children need a named water bottle so that they can drink during the day. Please do not send in juice or squash. We are really good at encouraging children to drink water!
KS1 children are also entitled to a daily fruit snack which we give out at morning play. Older children may bring if a fruit snack if they choose.
